School History
Celebrating God’s faithfulness through the years at Peniel Baptist Academy.
The Beginning
Peniel Baptist Academy (PBA) began operating as a Daycare and Kindergarten facility with an enrollment of 22 students, solely sponsored and funded by Peniel Baptist Church (PBC).
School Board Established
PBC established PBA’s School Board, which was and continues to be the governing body of the school. Board members were and still are elected by the church body.
New Educational Building
PBA built and moved into a new educational building separate from the PBC building that included kindergarten through sixth grade. Enrollment reached 151 students.
Expansion to Grades 7–12
PBA expanded to include middle school and high school, serving grades 7 through 12. Enrollment grew to 280 students.
First High School Graduation
PBA celebrated its first high school graduation.
FACCS Accreditation
PBA achieved accreditation through the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS).
New High School Building
PBC built and moved into a new high school building.
Educational Enhancements
Significant educational enhancements added through the years include a science lab, computer lab, and art education.
Middle States Accreditation
PBA added accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
50th Anniversary
PBA celebrated 50 years of “Educating Students to the Glory of God!”
