Music at Peniel Academy
Our music program at Peniel Academy gives students in grades K through 12 the opportunity to grow in musical skill, confidence, and worship. Through weekly classes, concerts, chorus, praise team, chapel leadership, and competitions, students learn how music can be used to honor the Lord and serve others.
Elementary Music
Elementary students participate in music classes each week, where they are introduced to the joy of music through singing, rhythm, listening, and performance. Students also have the opportunity to perform in two concerts each year.
Middle School Music
Middle school students develop music skills through a nine-week rotation. During these years, students may also participate in Middle School Chorus and Praise Team, allowing them to grow both musically and spiritually.
High School Chorus
In high school, Chorus is offered as an elective course. This class gives students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of music theory, strengthen their vocal skills, and continue developing their musical abilities.
Praise Team & Chapel Leadership
From the high school chorus, students may also participate in Praise Team. This group leads worship during weekly chapel services and represents Peniel Academy through performances in the community.
Musical Competitions
Both middle and high school students may participate in musical competitions offered by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, giving them the chance to use their talents beyond the classroom.
